Terms of use
The rules of ParentsLore, for the families who use it.
The service
ParentsLore is a private family album: dated memories with photos and videos, timeline, family tree, family recipes. It is offered by Amurius.
The basic service is free. Optional paid plans may be offered: they are then governed by terms of sale presented before any purchase. The end of a paid plan does not delete any content already published.
Accounts
Creating an account on your own and founding a family are reserved for people aged 18 or over; joining a family as a relative requires being at least 15. Children's access is created and managed by their parents, who are responsible for it.
You are responsible for your password and for what is done from your account. Let us know at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.
What you publish
You remain the owner of your content. You only grant ParentsLore the right to store it and display it to the members of your family, for as long as the service requires.
Only publish what you have the right to share: your own photos, or photos for which you have their author's permission, while respecting the people who appear in them. Content that is unlawful, violent or hateful, or that infringes the privacy of others or the image of a minor, is prohibited.
The publisher may remove clearly unlawful content that is reported to them, and suspend an account that breaks these rules.
The family and its members
A family's parents decide who belongs to it, invite its members, set the age from which each memory can be seen, and can cut ties with a member. They are responsible for the information they record about people without an account: information about living people must be added with discretion and with respect for those people.
Availability and backups
The publisher does their best to keep the website available and to back up your data regularly, but cannot guarantee a service without interruption or loss. We advise you to download your family's archive from time to time.
If the service were to shut down, you would be notified at least two months in advance, so that you can retrieve your memories.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile, and an empty family from its settings. The memories you added to a family stay there, without your name, unless a parent deletes them. A child account managed by the family is deleted by the child's parents.
Liability
Everyone is responsible for the content they publish. The publisher cannot be held liable for content published by families, nor for any indirect damage related to the use of the website.
Changes and governing law
These terms may change; the version in force is always on this page. They are governed by French law. In the event of a disagreement, please first write to [email protected] to seek an amicable solution.
